Johan Moesgaard

Work
Johan has been working as project developer at Global Citizen since 2012 and was primarily connected to “The Great Debate” – the high visibility event of the EU-Commission during the Danish EU-presidency in June 2012. Furthermore, Johan has been employed as a student assistant at Danish Agriculture and Food Council and Danish Horticulture for almost two years with particular emphasis on industrial policy and political advising.

Education
Johan holds a bachelor degree in Political Science from University of Copenhagen and is currently starting his master at Concordia University, Montreal. He expects to return to University of Copenhagen in December 2012. His bachelor thesis explored the development in representations of interests in the European Union with focus on Danish interest organizations.

Areas of Interest
Main areas of academic interest are political economy, international relations and EU-studies. Particularly, he is interested in the role of European policy networks and the preference formation and political negotiations within the European Union.

Personal
Johan has been active at University of Copenhagen as president of the student organization for political scientists and engaged in a number of other student driven associations. In his spare time, Johan enjoys literature, football, travelling and debating contemporary issues within political science.
