Reacting to the need for improved efficiency, reducing nuclear waste and reduce the threat of proliferation of nuclear material, organizations such as Generation IV International Forum (GIF), an international cooperation between 12 countries and Euratom as well as individual countries like China and India are examining new designs for nuclear plants. But as new nuclear power plants are being built, engineers are already looking to the future of nuclear reactors.
