Argentina is the second largest country in South America with a population of approximately 36 million, from which, 400,000 people claim to be of indigenous ancestry. Besides the indigenous minority Argentina is also home to Jewish, Japanese, Korean, Afro-Argentine and Welsh minorities. These minorities have struggled for equality and human rights as well as to stop xenophobia, racism, and discrimination in Argentina.
