This statistic summarises the distribution of maritime passengers, based on sea basins. The Mediterranean Sea basin dominated maritime passenger transport, accounting for more than half of all passengers along the EU’s coast. The next largest share was for the Baltic Sea, followed by the North-East Atlantic Ocean and then the North Sea.
