Rwanda Leads EAC in Fighting Gender Discrimination

"In its 2012 Social Institutions and Gender Index report, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) ranks Rwanda 28th out of the 86 countries surveyed worldwide. This is an improvement from position 66 in the previous study done in 2009. In East Africa, Rwanda leads the region at position 28, followed by Kenya at 46, Tanzania at 47, and Burundi at 51.
