"This study accepts the dominant role that greenhouse gases are playing in global climate change. Further, it acknowledges that most of these greenhouse gases are produced from the burning of fossil fuels. An often unconsidered reaction to these positions – one sometimes seen in the popular press – is to call for the abandonment of coal and other fossil fuels as an energy source.
