This article discusses the application of EU law and highlights the need for a greater effort of the EU's newest member states to follow the rule of law. Most recently, this includes Croatia. After Croatia's only recent entry into the European Union issue has arisen as the European Commission has demanded that the Croatian government get rid of a domestic law amendment.
