"Cradle to Cradle is for the mushroom research group at University Wageningen almost like kicking in an open door. Mushrooms grow in and on your organic waste, and as such you are producing foodstuffs and raw materials from waste. There is just no better demonstration of the C2C adagio “Waste = Food” as in mushroom science. These waste conversions can be made large scale or small scale and even in "low tech" conditions."
