Zacharias Brix Madsen
Work
Zacharias has worked at various NGO’s and networks in Denmark and the Netherlands where he has been involved in campaigning on the World Bank’s role in development, and has done analysis on the technical assistance delivered by the IMF. He is currently involved in the Danish 92-Group’s coordination of the policies of Danish NGOs.
Education
Zacharias graduated from Aalborg University in 2010 with a BA in history and an MSc in Development and International Relation. During his studies he has focused on indigenous people’s right, capacity building of civil society and he wrote his master's thesis on the World Bank’s role in the global climate change agenda.
Areas of Interest
Zacharias is following the Bretton Woods institutions closely. He is especially interested in global political economy and the role of financial institutions in development. He is also very involved in environmental issues and climate change.
Personal
Zacharias likes to travel - especially in Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East. He also enjoys reading fiction, listening to live music and watching football.
