Waheed Faiz

Work

Waheed is working for Global Citizen as an editor. Being a full time student, summer holidays were used to work as a temporary worker in places like Danish Crown, Danaeg and Post Denmark, to have a taste of the working life.

Education

Completed his BA in Business Administration and Modern Languages with Spanish at Aarhus school of Business (ASB) in June 2009. Currently is a full time student at ASB and doing his master's in Finance and International Business (FIB).

Areas of Interest

Waheed is interested in economics, politics, international relations and how to cope with poverty. Main areas of interest are sustainable economies and Islamic banking and finance.

Personal

Born in Afghanistan but moved to Russia with his parents aged five. As a teenager started a long journey living in different countries like Uzbekistan, Afghanistan again, and Pakistan, to end up in Denmark. Currently is a board member and treasurer of the Afghan Youth Association in Denmark (AYAD), with main focus on helping the younger generation of migrants to integrate and participate actively in Danish society.
