N. Georgios Zacharof
Education
Nikiforos finished high school in 2003 and right afterwards he studied at the Faculty of Forestry and Natural Environment of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). He continued his studies at the Faculty of Engineering, School of Civil Engineering of the AUTH, where he attended a post graduate program about Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development.
Since 2009 he has studied in Spain as an Erasmus student at the Faculty of Forest Engineering of the University of Lleida, where he attended Forest Biometry and Inventories, Rangeland Management, Geographical Information Systems And Remote Sensing and Forest Soils.
Apart from Greek, he speaks fluent English and Spanish, in which he has C2 degree.
Areas of Interest
History (especially byzantine and eastern medieval), natural history, physics, natural environment, forestry, agriculture, climatic change, linguists and literature.
Personal
He has experience of forest applications which was gained through his practice at the university of forests of Taxiarchis and Pertouli in Greece and at the Forestry Service Administration. He has also worked as a night guard at the Service of Byzantine Antiquities in Thessaloniki.
