Work
Marko works as a researcher at the “Global Citizen” project and besides that he is a volunteer in the Danish Movement for Europe, where he teaches students in primary school. He is furthermore leading the preparations of an un-conference with the theme of “organizing”, which is to be held medio September.
Professionally Markos ambition is to either, do research and teach at university level, or working for the government – whether it be as a political advisor closely connected to a politician, or in the administration performing analyses of policy outcomes.
Education
Marko is currently studying to become a BA in Political Science at the University of Aarhus. As a co-curricular activity he is studying at the Centre-Leftwing think tank CEVEA to become a “progressive opinion former”.
Areas of Interest
During his spare time Marko enjoys playing music (both piano and the flute), as well as cooking with his boyfriend. Besides that he spends time with friends and being social in associations connected to his study. As Marko’s father is from Serbia in the former Yugoslavia, the political situation there is also one of his key interests, besides his involvement in the Danish Social Democratic Youth.
Personal
His mixed cultural luggage makes him enjoy, the Serbian-inspired closeness and important meaning of family and friends, as well as the hardworking and loyal Danish approach to work and studies. Because of a foot in both Serbia and Denmark he speaks: Danish, English, German and Serbian.
