In 2007, Madalina started working with the Assistance Center for NGOs. After winning the competition for becoming EUROPE DIRECT Information Centre, Madalina became project manager and coordinator of EUROPE DIRECT Bucharest. For five years (2002–2007) Madalina was a university assistant at the Faculty of Journalism and Communication studies, a position she got after being a visiting lecturer for two years (2000-2002) at the same faculty. Most of the experience she gained is in the non-profit sector (either by working with NGOs – such as the Romanian Foundation for Democracy, Romania at Crossroads Forum, BEST etc., or in academia, or by combing the two). Madalina was also a student counselor, editor and reporter. She wrote three handbooks addressed to NGO professionals, an article regarding campaigning in the non-profit sector (Public Relation Campaigns in Non-profit Organizations, Journalism and Communication Revue, year 2, no. 2, Spring 2003) and translated the Communication Theories: Origins, Methods and Uses in the Mass Media – Werner J. Severin, James W. Tankard Jr.
Since 2001, Madalina has been married to Adrian.
