She has a specific interest in issues such as democratization, welfare state, economic and energy security in Europe and Asia. More broadly she is interested in human security, globalization, sustainable development and good governance.
Personal
For fifteen years Monika‘s passion has been painting, singing, playing the flute, and ballroom dancing. Today, she is passionate about nature and travelling. She tries as much as possible to find the time for new discoveries – it could be during hiking in the mountains or walking in the old towns. Everyday she attempts to learn something new from different cultures and multinational surroundings, which changes almost every year because of her passion to travel and study in various places. Certainly, as an artistical person, she always finds time for good literature, music and cinema, or a minute for brushes and colours. Finally, as a member of the students‘ corporation “RePublica” and scientific society in Lithuania, Monika is involved in a variety of social responsibility projects, not forgetting to keep in touch with friends from countries in which she has previously stayed, even at a distance.
