Michaela Trestikova



Education
Recently graduated from the University of Sussex with a master’s degree in International Security. Prior to that she gained a BA degree at the Charles University in Prague, and also spent time studying abroad at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Areas of Interest
Michaela has a strong interest in energy issues and finance, as well as climate change and sustainable development. This led her to focus her studies and MA dissertation on securitization of gas supplies to the EU. During her MA degree studies she also developed an interest in environmental security and effects of climate change on communities in the developing world.

Personal
Michaela was born in South Bohemia, but moved to Prague to study and now lives in Southeast England. She likes travelling, visual arts and music. She enjoys exploring new places and meeting new people. She is keen on martial arts and often volunteers for local charities.
