Mengxi Tian

Work

Mengxi was the vice president of Engcust English Club of Changchun University of Science and Technology from 2009 to 2010. Also, she did some voluntary work in 5th China-Jilin Northeast Asia Investment & Trade Exposition and IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation in 2009. Additional, she was a student assistant at Confucius Institute for Innovation & Learning at Aalborg University. 

Education

Mengxi majored in English for Bachelor of Arts at Changchun University of Science and Technology in China from 2007 to 2011. She is currently doing the master's programme in Development and International Relations with specialization on Chinese Area Studies at Aalborg University, and she will graduate from Aalborg University in 2013.

Areas of interest

Mengxi takes a great interest in various issues concerning international aid, civil society, regional integration, transnational capitalism especially multinational corporations. The topic of her group project in the first semester in Aalborg University was Aid Effectiveness in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Personal

Mengxi has many hobbies in the daily life such as reading, singing, writing Chinese calligraphy, doing Chinese tea ceremony, playing Guzheng (a traditional Chinese musical instrument), etc. Besides, she is very fond of doing sports including playing table tennis, playing badminton, skating and the like.
