Work
Mette joined the Global Citizen team in May 2010 as a legal advisor and editor. She is currently working in Esbjerg Municipality as a caseworker on legal matters in the secretariat for the city council. While studying, she worked as a home care helper to ensure a grip on reality and to develop her people skills.

Education
Master of Law (LL.M) from Aarhus University, from where she also holds a bachelor’s degree in law.



Areas of Interest
Naturally law and society is her main areas of interest. To be more specific it is corporate law, she finds most interesting. Lately she finds herself taking a big interest in legal matters concerning children and social areas. Greatest interest professionally is competition law and patent law. Her thesis combined the two areas, and the subject for it was the prohibition against limitations of competition in the EC-law versus the exclusive properties rights in patent legislation. 


Personal
Mette’s spare time is for a large part filled with creative endeavours, as makes jewellery and sews for her son, herself, family or friends. Mette has great passion for cooking and enjoys to experiment in the kitchen. She and her boyfriend grow a lot of their own vegetables and herbs and love the quality it brings to the meal. Furthermore she grasps every opportunity she gets to dance – preferably salsa, because it gives an energy infusion and makes people smile. Mette lives with her boyfriend, son and dog.
