Work
Currently, Lili is working as an assistant in renewable energy projects in the Environmental Association “Za Zemiata” (For the Earth), Bulgaria and volunteer at WWF Bulgaria on forest governance and FSC certification.

She gained experience in the field of renewable energy policy, previously working as an intern and consequently a short-term consultant for the Germany Agency for Technical Cooperation (GIZ) on the project “Renewable Energy Network- REN21” in Paris, France. Additionally, she worked as an intern in the international organisation “Club of Madrid”, Spain on its program “Energy and Climate Change”, and has a strong background in climate change policy and finance.

Education
Graduated from the Brandenburg Technical University Cottbus in Germany, obtaining a B.Sc. in Environmental and Resource Management. Her further education took place in Erasmus Mundus M.Sc. “Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management”, a joint program from the Central European University (Budapest), Lund University (Sweden), University of Manchester (UK) and University of the Aegean (Greece). During her studies she earned a scholarship and was invited as an honorary academic visitor at the Australian Centre for Science, Innovation and Society (ACSIS), University of Melbourne, Australia.

Areas of interest
Criteria for evaluation of sustainable biomass production and utilization, energy decentralization, policy instruments for encouraging renewable energy deployment, socio-economic factors in natural resource management.

Personal
At the age of 18, Lili starts her adventure outside her hometown Sofia, and her education and work gave her the chance to explore several European countries and enrich her intercultural experience. She is very fond of cycling and would like to take the challenge to conquer even the most bicycle-unfriendly city. She enjoys photography and climbing and is attracted to the Brazilian culture, by playing chocalho in a samba group and doing capoeira.
