Work
Lina is an assistant researcher at water energy and environment center, at the University of Jordan, Amman. Her main task is carrying out research thatise related to the environment focusing on water issues. The tasks start from developing the idea and writing the research proposal to attracting funds, followed by coordinating and supervising the scientific, technical and managerial issues that are related to the research, and then writing the final report.
Education
Lina got her PhD in Environmental Engineering in June 2009, at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. Her M.Sc. is in civil engineering/environment and water resources, in February 2002, from the University of Jordan. Her B.Sc. is in Chemical Engineering, from February 1999, University of Jordan.
Areas of Interest
Sanitation: Grey water, decentralized sanitation, biological, aerobic and anaerobic, treatment, physiochemical treatment, management. Drinking water: Physiochemical treatment, reuse of wastewaters.
Personal
Lina's main interest is the subject of grey water, which relates to the sustainability of water resources. The issues of concern are the cost-effective treatment technology using natural and local materials, the reuse options, socio-economic, health and environmental aspects. Lina likes walking, reading and gardening, when the time is available.
