Work
Before working at Global Citizen, Jacob worked as a teacher at Ry Folk High School teaching Politics, Philosophy, Sociology of religion and International affairs. During his studies Jacob was a trainee at the political department at the Royal Danish Embassy in Cairo focusing on Human Rights and Democracy. Besides working at Global Citizen Jacob works as a academic mentor at the department of political science at Aarhus University.

Education
Jacob has a Master of Science in Political Science (cand.scient.pol.)

Areas of Interest
Jacob's main professional interest is with human rights and democracy in general, but especially within the Middle East and the Arab world. This is also reflected in a broad interest in international development and approaches to development. Besides this, Jacob has an interest in political structures, tools and institutions and political and ideological philosophy.

Personal
Jacob lives in the center of Aarhus with his wife and his son. He has a big interest in music, movies and museums - and the aesthetic side of life in general. He likes to travel with his family and enjoys to spend time with his friends going for a beer and a game of dart.
