Work
Researcher and editor with Global Citizen. Ingvar has been involved with Global Citizen since July 2007 when he started as an intern. The internship period was finished in January, and from then Ingvar continued as a researcher and editor for Global Citizen.

Ingvar first enjoyed professional success at the Shell Corporation in Iceland. First at an outdoor shop as assistant manager, but later he mainly worked in logistics and inventories but was also entrusted by the CEO to handle the relocation of the Shell headquarters in 2003.

Ingvar has also worked as a journalist at Iceland’s largest and oldest subscription newspaper since 2005, where he was the editor of the weekly car section, but he also covered real estate, business and daily life. During his studies he also worked as a foreign correspondent in Denmark.

Education
Ingvar finished High School in 1992 with a degree in tourism. From 1992 to 1999 he studied among other things Tourist Services and Logistics, but also Law and Philosophy at the University of Iceland, while holding a full time job. Ingvar has a BA in Business Communication from Aalborg University, with special focus on English and Information Technology. Currently he is finishing a MSc in Development and International Relations, also at Aalborg University.



Areas of Interest
Ingvar is mostly interested in all kinds of communication and has kept an interest in business communication but widened his area of expertise to include international relations as well. Widely different areas such as the monetary systems, political economy, spin and CSR are all very appealing to Ingvar. 
Lately Ingvar has become very interested in glocalisation, white wash and accountability issues of the banking system.

Personal
Being a venerable car nut, he has for a long time been interested in automotive and motorcycle history as well as the vehicles themselves. He prefers small and nimble sports cars and motorcycles, and believes that a clear philosophy is needed to advance cars technologically.

Family is hugely important to Ingvar, who has two children and is married to his high school sweetheart.
