Harshad Phadnis
Work
Harshad is a research associate at the Fraunhofer-Instituts für Windenergie und Energiesystemtechnik (IWES) in Kassel, Germany, in the department Energy converters and storage systems. He was previously involved in techo-commercial activities with a custom motorcycle company in India. Similarly he has experience in bespoke learning and instructional design.
Education
A production engineer from Pune University, India, Harshad has a specialist degree in hybrid renewable energy systems through a pan-European Master in Renewable Energy coordinated by the EUREC Agency, Belgium. His specialisation and degree universities were Kassel University and Loughborough University respectively.
Areas of Interest
He undertook a research examining the potential of off-grid sites to raise energy infrastructure using cost effective renewable energy applications. The research project investigated fuel cell integration with renewable energy technologies for such applications as telecom.
He specialises in evangelism, reference requisition and specific areas of social media. He also contributes to market research exercises conducted in confidence. Tennis and technology interest him, while he is a new learner of neuroscience and theories of intergenerational funnelling as a principal of evolution.
Personal
Harshad is an avid traveller having been to various parts of Europe in his stay there. He likes to interact with new people, enjoys impromptu meet-ups and attempts to learn new crafts. As curiousity he sees why the tough man races (relatively organised chaos) of the world are still popular, when organised decathlon is an established Olympic event.
