Environment conservation, management and policy: Knowledge for sustainability. Filipe has worked in the three sectors aiming to implement sustainable development concepts in emerging countries by following the patterns set by OECD member-states. Boasting a wide-ranging experience in coordinating and far-reaching background in the field, as a Global Citizen manager his goal is to collect knowledge and generate solutions for globally crucial energy issues, which would also be feasible to implement at a local level. To achieve this, he is striving to build a cohesive and comprehensive network of globally engaged citizens, committed to the environment.

A specialist in Environmental Engineering and Technology, he is currently pursuing his Master degree in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management (MESPOM), jointly operated by four leading European and two North American Universities: Lund University (Sweden), University of Manchester (UK), Central European University (Budapest), University of the Aegean (Greece), Middlebury College (USA), and University of Saskatchewan (Canada).
Areas of Interest
Environment conservation, management and governance. R&D in green technologies and renewable energy resources. Permaculture, recycling, eco-friendly life style: self-sustainable communities and greener cities. Collective consciousness.
Personal
Passionate for nature, Filipe is always ready for a venture into the wild. When abroad, he is always on the green side looking for a sightseeing adventure not listed on tourist guides. He likes to use his coordinating skills to organize gatherings that enhance networking and make team building more sustainable. Being very communicative and open-minded, he is always up for a conversation ranging in topics from metaphysics to a greener economy. “Jazzy” to talk to, but classical when it comes to focus on work, Filipe drums for fun, and loves a good bit of electronic: food for thought, music for soul.
