Eugenia Krasnopjorova
Work
Eugenia has joined Global Citizen in 2012. Previously she has been an intern at the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), National Center of Legislation and Legal Research, and Regional Executive Committee in Belarus. She also has voluntary teaching experience.
Education
Eugenia has a degree in Politics and Law from Belarusian State University (BSU). While studying at BSU, she was a Secretary at the Student Scientific Political Science Community (2005-2010) and a Secretary at the Section of Political Science at Annual International Conferences at Belarusian State University (2006-2009)
In 2010 Eugenia has been granted a scholarship from Open Society Institute – Soros Foundation, and is currently studying for Master degree in European Studies at Aarhus University.
Area of Interest
Eugenia started her research career as early as in 2006. Since that time she has participated in 14 conferences. Eugenia has 10 publications and 2 electronic articles. Her areas of interest cover the EU-Belarus relations, EU’s legal structure, and external policies (mainly, enlargement, Eastern Partnership and European Neighbourhood Policy). Currently she is writing a thesis on the use of language as a political factor in Post-Soviet Belarus.
Personal
In her spare time Eugenia enjoys classical literature, theater and ballet. In the warm part of the year she is doing intensive swimming, while fitness takes its place in autumn and winter. All year around she dances salsa and tango with her husband.
