Work
Carolina is currently part of the Africa and Least Developed Countries Division of UNCTAD in Geneva where she carries out research on the role of trade in poverty reduction. She used to be the Head of International Relations at the University of Tolima in Colombia where she participated in different international cooperation projects. She is also member of the Region, Science and Technology Research Group (GRECYT). In 2010 she took an internship at the Export and Finance Project Division of Standard Chartered Bank in Mumbai.
Education
Carolina holds an MA in International Studies at Aarhus University and holds a BA in Foreign Languages and International Business (Hons) from the University of Tolima; Diplomas in International Project Management, International Department Management and International Business with China. In 2010 she was awarded with the Francisco José de Caldas Scholarship from COLCIENCIAS, given to outstanding academics and researchers from Colombian universities and research institutions.

Personal
Born and raised in Colombia; consider herself a passionate, open-minded and dedicated person; enjoys travelling and meeting new people, places and cultures. Speaks English, French and Spanish, is an AIESEC Alumni, enjoys reading a good book, having a nice conversation, going out with friends and definitely believes Ghandi’s words: “A man is but the product of his thought; what he thinks, he becomes”.
