An intern doing research as an editor with Global Citizen.

Education
Currently in her 4th year as an undergraduate student of International Studies at the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington, Seattle. She is also double majoring in Political Science. At present, she is studying Political Science at Aarhus University doing her final year of her B.A. as an exchange student.

Areas of Interest
She is interested in issues of immigration and its impact in countries all over the world. Currently she is interested in immigration within the EU and how European countries are approaching immigration and dealing with ethnic minorities. She is also interested in nationalism, national identity and identity formation in general as these areas, in her opinion, influence each other as well as play an important role in affecting how people view and react to immigrants and vice versa.

Personal
She is a first generation Korean American, born in Chicago, Illinois. She has been living in Washington since 2005 and in Seattle since 2007. She likes to learn about animals on the side, especially marine life. In her next life, she would be a marine biologist. She also loves dogs and has a female border collie/black lab named Charlie. Her other interests include music, playing the saxophone, reading, finding cozy cafés with cheap but decent coffee, cooking and being with friends.
