Angele Kedaitiene
Work
Angele‘s previous work experience includes working as an associate professor of marketing and European economics at various universities, including Vilnius University, M. Romeris University, LCC International University and European Humanitarian University.
Since 2004, she has been working as a civil servant in the area of European Union affairs as well as the freelance industry analyst of the Euromonitors International. She also has some experience in project work (Phare and nationally financed), in the insurance business (with Vienna Insurance Group), as well as being a co-founder of the non-profit research organization Economic and Statistic Research, based in Vilnius. Angele is grantee of the Tempus, Nordic Council, DAAD, Danish and Irish Governments, and IAMO funds, for her research stays in Denmark, Germany and in Ireland, over 1998-2009.
She now works for Global Citizen as a researcher, on the subjects of European economics and of European public opinion research.
Education
Completed her Bachelor of Economics at Vilnius University. Angele has studied further at the School of Politics and International Relations, University College Dublin, where she acquired an honorary degree of the master of European economics and public administration, in 2009.Today, she is studying international economy consulting at Aarhus School of Business and Social Sciences, with a special focus on Europe 2020 strategy. She also has a doctoral degree of economics from Moscow M. Lomonosov University.
Areas of Interest
Angele has developed a keen interest in European economics and public administration, as well as in European marketing, European political communication and public opinion research. She has studied at the UCD, at the time of the Irish second referendum for the Lisbon Treaty, and learned a lot from Prof. R. Sinnott, the communication analyst of Irish voters' behavior. Recently, she has been working on the economic growth related effects of the Europe 2020 strategy, and thinks about the Europe 2030. Angele is on the EPSO reserve lists to work for the EU institutions.
Personal
Angele is both a dynamic and calm person; dynamic in the sense of enjoying the continuous professional and personal growth while looking for meaningful realization of her abilities; and calm in the sense of the emotional intelligence and rational rather than emotional consideration of problems, the immediate solution of which she considers as the reality and challenge, rather than the burden. At the same time, she prefers good discipline, responsibility, integrity, commitment and the smooth running of the things. Angele is a member of the international women's club Zonta, engaged in a voluntarily social service for society with the aim to advance women's status worldwide. She likes sport (yoga and fitness), reading (personal growth, biographies), travelling, and meeting interesting people.
