Ana Alexandra Borta

Work

Ana worked as a volunteer for different NGOs in Romania while studying her BA. She came to Denmark in 2009 to study and ended up working as a teacher in the International Cambridge School in Viborg. At the moment Ana works at Global Citizen as well as at  VIA University College Viborg/Thisted  where she is an english teacher. She is really enthusiastic about her job and uses many tools of non-formal education, which she believes, make the learning experience more attractive to the students. 

Education

Currently Ana studies an MA of Arts in English at Aarhus University. She finished a BA in Romanian/English at University of Bucharest. In the second year of her BA she came to Denmark as an Erasmus student. The experience was amazing personally and professionally. Therefore, she has decided to come back to study her MA in Aarhus. 

Areas of interest

Ana is interested in literature& language, media studies, globalization, history, art, drama, theatre, photography and culture. Ana's volunteer experience has led her to also be interested in social problems and social responsibility. She likes to be an active citizen and to encourage others to do the same. 

Personal

Ana was born in a small town in Romania called Uricani. Her hometown is surrounded by beautiful mountains so she spent a lot of time outdoors. In her spare time, she enjoys a good lecture or an interesting movie. She likes sports and the outdoors. Ana also is a volunteer in a theatre club, and likes to attend exhibitions, concerts, festivals and other artistic events. She loves traveling and the discovery of a new place.
