Organizations, public authorities, who conform to the UN’s Human Rights Charter can become Global Citizen sponsors. The same is true for companies that either are members of the UN’s Global Compact or in another way have shown support for the principles behind CSR. We differentiate between two different types of sponsors:
Horizontal sponsor
Sponsors who wish to support the Global Citizen site. The prize will be agreed on a case-to-case basis.
Specific sponsor
Will provide the opportunity to sponsor one or several topics* (As of November 2010) We will only have one sponsor per topic.
Global Citizen Sponsors will attain:
- Sponsorship of a topic and a “side-box” on the site which can be edited according to choice. (Intro, Facts and Figures, Database 8 x categories))
- The opportunity to get their name and a 400 word message in the newsletter of the sponsored topic.
- Visibility and professional development of the attached Editor (most likely a student)
* Since Global Citizen is still a development phase, the first 100 sponsors will get a two-year sponsorship for the price of one year and they will be added to a permanent list of actors who helped further Global Citizen and the work that in time will include m
